The Tracks TV show, from its start in 1995 to 2013 and BEYOND, is reflected in these pages
Welcome
to the Wall!
This site shows Polk County
High's heritage through the
eyes of students who were present from the day when the Tracks TV show began, two and a half years after PCHS opened its doors in 1992. These chronicles began four years after the first webpage (1991), three years before Google (1998), and a decade before Facebook (2004) and Youtube (2005).
Shutterfly had a share site that 19 years of Tracks were entrusted to, some 300 videos, but in 2023, 10 years after Stan Coss "retired," all share sites were discontinued. There was too much of value to let the best of these videos simply disappear, so he reloaded many of his favorites for continued viewing pleasure.

Tracks, from the very first 1995 show: This lead-in was varied each time to try catching attention. Andy, Jon, and Shane had video as a passion and channeled it into Tracks.
-
Tracks Highlights, for 1995 to 2007: Here Superintendent Miller was principal when jugglers took aim.
-
Great Hope in Cellphone Drama: This was Heber and Jairo's first ever project using the required still shots. It was in 2009 a sign of the greatness to come.
-
Classic of The Return: Crouching James and Hidden Grant, from the year 2000, did this spoof of a wronged karate master. This is the second in a trilogy that had students tuned in to Tracks for some entertainment in advocate period.
-
Classic Michael Long Movie Preview: Michael Long has been making a name for himself in editing video. His senior year he had many contributions to the Tracks TV program (2002). This one had many inquiries as to "when is the full movie coming out?"
-
Molly and Sammie Set The Wall Afire!: Wall-of-Famers, shown in full episodes throughout the site, are summed up on the tab "Origin & Wall." Inductee Sammie Walker and Veteran Molly Nelson have their incredible dozen previewed.
-
Behind the Scenes: This video by Molly Nelson and Sammie Walker was but 44 seconds long but immense in its creativity and skill level. The State School Board recognized its advocacy of public education. The $2,500 award helped, too.
-
Full 2013 Radioactive: The Spring 2013 Talent Show of students and staff had many acts that stood out, including this one with glow sticks and choreographed by Ms. Mirasola using her advocate class.
Principal Greene Makes the Cut on Tracks
Actually, Mr. Greene's haircut is not revealed until the 2010 section.
9- No longer to be seen here, but the upside down eye can be seen on the 2002 tab as part of the Sandwitch.
10- Dance Team 2009 Review: Teachers got the green light to enter the talent show when they left their green tractor behind and donned their disco outfits.
11- Classic How to Date effectively: In the style of the WWII instructional videos comes this set of tips for the guy on proper dating etiquette (filmed and edited at the Academic Recovery Center).
12- Chef Miller, Crab & Shrimp treat from Charleston: Multi-talented Principal-Soon-To-Be Superintendent Miller spent a few years in the restaurant business in Charleston. That's where he acquired this special shrimp treat.
13- Talent Shows Unusual Round-up: We've had some very unique talents on show in our school's auditorium. This gives four starting from 1997 to 2008.
14- In Limbo: The main attraction in this pep rally in about 2007 was Regis Bittle. He was a near-300 pound star linebacker who was quite limber.
15- Classic T-Shirt Commercial: A Landrum T-shirt proved an invaluable prop for Heber and Jairo on what not to do with the Polk shirt.
16- Classic Macarena: Professor Christian Brackmann of Brazil was an AFS student at PCHS. He emailed in 2012 to submit his segment that had run on Tracks in about 1999.
17- The Ring Spoof: This spoof of "The Ring" finds its victim in a collision with a T-square. This in 2007 was another of the “Movie Preview” assignments.
18- Star Wars Spoof: The first in a series, from about 2007, about 30 years after THE original. Its sequel is in the 2003 tab.
What exactly is "The Wall" referring to? It's not this beautiful backdrop of mountains.
That will be revealed in the next section, Origin & Wall.
